Thanks to its ideal location on the Etruscan Coast, Poggio all’Agnello offers a rich selection of post conference activities adding value to any conference experience with recreational and cultural activities.

Medieval Cities of Art

On the hill summits overlooking the sea, the historical villages of the Etruscan Coast constitute a cultural, historical and culinary experience not to be missed. The age-old history and ancient traditions of these villages can still be experienced to this day in the cities of Castagneto, Carducci, Bolgheri, Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima, Bibbona, Sassetta, Rosignano Marittimo, Populonia and Piombino.

Food and Wine

The food and wine offered up by the Etruscan Coast is of the richest quality, with numerous regional recipes, renowned wines and superb olive oils. Yet another way of discovering the territory’s history through the flavours of Tuscany and the Mediterranean.

Nature and Parks

An impressive 20% of the Etruscan Coast territory is occupied by parks, protected areas, oases and natural reserves. Nature is the true protagonist of this territory, with large stretches of pine trees, Mediterranean bushland and humid areas full of breathtaking colours and scents.
The Parks of Val di Cornia constitute a perfect example of the natural beauty offered by the Etruscan Coast.

Stretches of Etruscan settlements along the Etruscan Coast offer yet another cultural opportunity for those wishing to rest after a conference or event. The Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia is just near the Resort and includes a rich Etruscan Museum with pre-historical and Roman findings, such as those of Rosignano Marittimo.

Sea Excursions and Tours

Thanks to the close vicinity of Piombino, it is possible to board a boat for a tour through the spectacular islands of the Archipelago of Elba (Pianosa, Capraia, Montecristo, Giannutri, Gorgona and Giglio). Daily boat tours are also available from other locations along the Etruscan Coast.
Piombino is yet another excellent departure point for trips to Sardinia and Corsica.
